Vintage from the 1960s. Boujad rugs are woven at the edge of the Middle Atlas mountains, and made of naturel virgin wool, often decorated with colored materials such as vegetable dye.
These rugs tend to feature pinks and purples with irregular geometric patterns and designs that reflect the whim of the weaver.
Boujad rugs are a really wonderful piece of ‘folk’ art that tell a tale of the lives for the women who make them.
This rug is handknotted with natural wool and vintage. Durable carpet thanks to incredible skills of the weaver.
In very good condition. Low pile.
The rug is clean.
